Two Hungarian duos join American winners Basey & Hurst on Tahiti Futures podium
Gage Basey & Thomas Hurst of the United States earned their first Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour gold at the Tahiti Futures in French Polynesia. Two Hungarian teams – Bence Tari & Lukas Niemeier and Domonkos Doczi & Akos Veress – completed the podium at the single-gender stop with silver and bronze, respectively.

World Ranking update: Cottafava & Dal Corso reach top 25 for the first time
Italy’s leading men’s beach volleyball duo – Samuele Cottafava & Gianluca Dal Corso – who won last week’s Nayarit Challenge on the Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour, reached the top 25 of the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Ranking for the first time. Cottafava & Dal Corso earned 800 ranking points with their Challenge gold in Mexico last week.

Cottafava & Dal Corso celebrate duo’s first Challenge gold
Top-seeded Samuele Cottafava & Gianluca Dal Corso lived up to their status and triumphed as Nayarit Challenge winners at the 2026 Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour event in Mexico. The Nayarit gold was the team’s first at the Challenge level. Previously, they had one silver at the Futures level. Netherlands’ Leon Luini & Matthew Immers settled for silver.

Yan & Xia win Nayarit to bring home first Beach Pro Tour gold together
The Chinese pairing of two-time Olympian Xia Xinyi with Yan Xu brought home its first Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour medal since they teamed up for their international debut at the Adelaide 2025 FIVB Beach Volleyball World Championships. Seeded fourth in the Nayarit Challenge women’s main draw, Yan & Xia made a solid run of six consecutive wins in Mexico and grabbed gold.

Spain’s Vergara & Gonzalez on to Nayarit quarterfinals after fourth tie-breaker in Mexico
