College: Vugrincic played beach volleyball at Cal. After not playing her first season, she went 5-0 the next season with two different partners. As a junior she had a 9-1 record with six different teammates on courts two and five. Vugrincic compiled a 20-14 record as a senior, mostly on court four with Jenna Colligan.

Personal: Vugrincic's mother, Dawn, ran track and field for Cal. In high school she played indoor volleyball for three years and was named the league's best sophomore as well as second team all-state.
