College: Saar played four years indoors at Georgetown. As a freshman she was second on the team in digs (285) and added 125 kills. She started every match as a sophomore, leading the team in kills (345) and was second in digs (371). In her junior season Saar finished with 177 kills, 264 digs and 18 aces. She had 170 kills, 202 digs and 18 aces as a senior, and became the ninth Hoya ever to surpass 1,000 career digs.
Personal: In high school Saar played four years of both volleyball and soccer, and was the team captain for both as a senior as well as being first team all-state in both sports. She ended her high school career with 2,157 kills, 2,175 digs and 257 blocks.
