Beach Bits:

• Wong was Karch Kiraly's partner during the 2007 season, Kiraly's final year. 
• His first career win came on his 27th birthday.
• Wong was ranked in the top 20 on the AVP Tour at the end of nine of his last 10 seasons. 

2009: Continued his partnership with Olson, advancing to the semifinals in four of their first six events. The duo played for the title in Manhattan Beach, one of six semifinal appearances on the year.
2008: Formed a new partnership with Matt Olson, advancing to five semifinals including winning in Belmar. Wong was fourth in blocks per game (1.80) and 10th in hitting percentage (.408). 
2007: Began the season with Karch Kiraly, playing eight times with a best of second. In the other eight events he played with five different players, while also playing in three FIVB tournaments. Wong was eighth in blocks per game (1.58).
2006: Paired with younger brother Scott for five AVP events and one FIVB event, with a best of ninth. Played with four different partners on the AVP Tour, with a best of fifth twice, and had a best of seventh on the FIVB Tour.
2005: Formed a partnership with Dain Blanton, placing third in their first event together, one of two semifinals. Wong was seventh in kills per game (7.33). The duo played four FIVB events with a best of fifth.
2004: Wong and Fonoimoana made three semifinals on the AVP Tour, winning once. In the season finale, he reunited with Metzger and placed third. Internationally Wong and Fonoimoana played nine times with a best of fifth. Wong was eighth in blocks per game (1.52) on the AVP Tour. 
2003: Played the first four events with Metzger, with the last being a third place finish. Then he paired up with Eric Fonoimoana and in their first outing, in Manhattan Beach, the duo won. Competed on the FIVB Tour with both partners, placing second in a Grand Slam event with Metzger in their final tournament.
2002: With Metzger, played in three of the first four semifinals on the AVP, including one second place finish. Wong ended as the ninth ranked player on tour. Internationally the duo won four medals in seven events, including claiming one title.
2001: Formed a partnership with Stein Metzger, placing second in a BVA Tour stop to start the year. Then on the AVP they placed third before winning two events, including the Manhattan Beach Open. In the individual event in Las Vegas, Wong claimed the title. Finished as the ninth ranked player on the FIVB Tour after playing in four semifinals. In Gstaad, in their fourth tournament together, the duo won four qualification matches then knocked off the top two seeded teams to win their first title. They won a bronze in the Goodwill Games in Australia.
2000: Competed with Heidger on the FIVB Tour, with a best of second. Qualified for the Sydney Olympics as the seventh ranked team, and the duo placed fifth after being eliminated by the eventual gold medalists.
1999: Focused on the FIVB Tour, playing twice with Henkel and 11 times with Heidger, including a bronze medal. Domestically he played once with both partners, claiming his first title in San Diego with Heidger in an event featuring international players.
1998: Started the season with a pair of events with Papaleo, then once with Rob Heidger. In the last eight tournaments he made his first final, with Albert Hannemann, and played three domestic and 11 international events with Carl Henkel.
1997: On his first season full time, Wong partnered with three players in the first 10 events. For the remaining 12 tournaments he formed a partnership with Raul Papaleo, placing fifth four times. 
1996: Played five tournaments with three partners.
1995: Made his pro beach volleyball debut in Manhattan Beach with John Anselmo, finishing 17th. The duo played twice on the AVP Tour and once on the FIVB Tour.

Olympics (one, 5th, 2-3 Elimination, 2-3 Overall):
• Qualified for Sydney 2000 Olympics as the number seven seed with Rob Heidger. Lost in the third round of bracket play to United States's Dain Blanton/Eric Fonoimoana, finishing 5th.

College: Wong is a 1995 graduate of UCLA where he played on the Bruins' 1993 and 1995 NCAA Championship teams and graduated with a degree in economics. He is a three-time All-American and also toured GreeceItaly and Spain as a member of a Collegiate National Team. He has done public address announcing at home UCLA men's matches.

Personal:
 Born and raised in Honolulu alongside brothers Jason and Scott. He and Stein Metzger created and organized the annual "Food Bank Invitational" on Waikiki Beach. In 2000 Wong was named to People Magazine's "50 Most Beautiful People" issue.
